Holidays Here…Must be time to slow down? Wrong!

First, Happy Holidays to all out there visiting our blog. We hope that the holiday period brings you happiness, reward, and a re-charging for the year to come!

With all the holiday activities…shopping, parties, travel, etc…you might think this is a good time to just put your business on hold…you couldn’t be more wrong!

This end of year period is especially important for Ambit consultants, and many others in business for themselves. Though the holidays bring about some fun times, they also bring to light two important things: increased stress and introspection.

Most of us know that the holidays add stress in some manner to our lives: the increased spending…sometimes outside our means…, the stress of shopping or travel, and the stress of many loved ones crowded into one home for an extended period. So why would pushing your business at this time be helpful? Well, for one, it helps you personally by keeping you focused on something that you can actually control to some degree. Many of the stresses we feel during the holidays are around things we have little control of…like the crowd at the mall. By focusing on your business, you will spend less time focusing on these other areas, and in many cases thus removing some of your stress. You also set yourself up with a good foundation moving into the new year.

Secondly, many have stronger periods of introspection during the holidays…we plan our “resolutions” for the upcoming year, think about making some changes in our lives, or review what we have done. This is an excellent opportunity for you to mention, especially to those you know and love, the Ambit opportunity and how it may be the change they need. It does not mean you will necessarily get a large number of new consultants, but the odds of more actually taking a full look are very good.

As for customers, this should also be a great time to add some across your organization. Everyone…and I mean everyone…already has in the back of their mind the dreaded “credit card bill” from Christmas is coming before Christmas even gets here. So why not offer them a little help with a way to reduce their power bills and use some of that savings to help cover that looming Christmas bill? No time like the present to get a year’s worth of power at a reduced cost!

In closing, we do sincerely hope all you have a Happy Holiday Season and get the riches you deserve in whatever form they may be. Remember, we are all truly blessed in many ways just by living in this country…don’t let the opportunities pass you by!
