Congratulations President-elect Obama
Well, I am few days late getting this out, but it needs to be said, “Congratulations President-elect Obama. We wish you well and much success in your coming administration.”
Now some conservatives out there may have thought I just fell and hit my head. They’re asking themselves, “What is he doing congratulating THAT guy?” Well, the fact of the matter is, President-elect Obama did win the election and being a good citizen I want our country to succeed. No, he is not the guy I voted for, nor the one I think was best qualified for the job, but he will soon be my President.
Now, all that said, this does not mean I am going to give him a free ride or let his decisions go unchecked. When he does some good, I will praise it…and when he does the not so good, I plan on criticizing it…as is my right as a free American. And should he do, or decide, something that I feel especially detrimental to us, I plan on fighting it with all tools provided to me within the legal framework of the U.S. Constitution.
At the end of the day…everyday…we all are required, as a small form of repayment for those who gave their lives to keep us free, to challenge, approve, disapprove, and voice our opinion about the things that effect our country. It is a right we were given, and now a responsibility we must maintain, if we are to truly remain free.
So we wish the President-elect the best for his coming term! We are counting on you to do your best for us, and in return will do our best to let our thoughts be known.
